Fast growing fashion market in Vietnam | AOV-January-2020

With fast growing middle-class, Vietnam is seeing a rapid growth in its retail sector. According to Statista, revenue from apparel & retail industry, in 2019, amounted to US $ 717 million and is expected to cross US $ 1,000 million by 2023. The country is also seeing increase in foreign investment on accessories – US $ 36 billion in 2018 and US $ 39 billion in 2019. Team AOV also speaks to a popular fashion brand ‘Chula’. Interestingly, the first ‘Chula’ dress was made by a lady worker who was completely deaf. Today 85% of workforce in the company has some or the other physical limitation.
